Develop with GKAM, VP of Regional Sales and the PBU leads, the strategies for all product lines in your region for the Director’s specific customers. Plan and manage the activities of analysis and evaluation of the automobile market, developing criteria and administrative control tools that will support business processes with customers and suppliers, as well as in the negotiation and strategic planning of new businesses, aiming at achieving pre-established profitability goals and targets.

 

 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development of criteria and parameters for preparing the Sales Plan
  • Implementation of strategies and actions to meet sales targets and track execution to targets for your customer responsibility
  • Reporting to GKAM and VP Regional Sales status to targets
  • Report and develop strategies with PBU leads and VP of Sales to address critical regional customer concerns
  • Following the market trend regarding new products from OEM's and their respective volumes and preparing the sales forecast planning for the next 5 years
  • Monitoring the operational results of the new projects and establish targets for the engineering and purchasing teams to achieve pre-established profitability
  • Supporting the purchasing department with regard to the criteria for calculating and detailing the cost composition of suppliers guarantees the achievement of the pre-established sales price targets
  • Establishing criteria and tools for the department's administrative controls in the organization of processes, history of information and market trend
  • Monitoring the behavior and evolution of the market to prospect business opportunities for the company and take relevant actions
  • Planning and development of studies to analyze the evolution of internal costs and supplier prices (raw materials and components), analyzing the impact on the final price of products and presenting material pertinent to update sales prices with customers
  • Analyze the list of products and their specific profitability and propose to the competent areas, actions aimed at improving these rates
  • Monitor market actions and behavior with customers
  • Develop with GKAM, VP of Regional Sales and the PBU leads, the strategies for all product lines in your region for the Director’s specific customers.
  • Implement strategies and actions to meet sales targets (New business booking, Margin increases, Accounts Receivable, etc.) and track execution to targets for your customer responsibility.

 

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, sales-driven mindset.
  • Ability to lead and influence across various organizational levels, including the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage large and varied workloads
  • Ability to travel 30%
  • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours to accommodate and support other regions. 
  • Must reside in the metro Detroit area with ability to work on site 4 days a week.

 

Education and Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in sales engineering or business, master’s degree desirable.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales, at least 5 years’ experience in the automotive industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role.
  • Experience in multi-country or multi-cultural environments, demonstrating strong diplomacy skills.
  • Experience working within a large global matrix organization with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience leading negotiations, including commercial agreements, contracts, and pricing discussions to achieve bookings, revenue, and profitability targets.
