The HR Business Partner is a versatile human resource professional responsible for managing a broad range of HR functions within the organization. Duties include recruitment and onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance with labor laws, and supporting organizational development initiatives. Serves as a key point of contact for employees and management, ensuring HR policies are effectively implemented and workplace culture is maintained. They play a critical role in fostering a positive, productive, and legally compliant work environment.
- Serve as point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implements and conduct new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEOC, MIOSHA, Environmental regulations, HIPAA and other federal and state laws and regulations
- Support career development initiatives in collaboration with the Sr. HR manager and the leadership team to foster employee growth and retention within the organization.
- Support the regional Talent Acquisition team with recruiting, interviewing, and selection of new team members for the local market. May participate in local job fairs.
- Act as on-site coordinator for our Co-Op/Intern program. Looking for ways to improve and remain competitive in that talent pool.
- May assist in supporting the annual performance review cycle with the leadership team.
- Administration of employee data in SAP in collaboration with payroll specialist.
- Partners with regional HR team on company-wide initiatives.
- Act as on-site compliance officer to support Global compliance initiatives.
- Plan, participate and organize local activities and events.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources is preferred, bachelor's degree in related field is required, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is strongly desired.
- 3+ years' experience in human resources is required, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of HR Best Practices, employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience using HCM systems; ADP, SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred.
