Summary: The QMS Document Control Coordinator administers, coordinates, manages, controls and maintains the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, ensuring that all documents and records are up-to-date, approved, distributed and archived in accordance with internal procedures, regulatory requirements and applicable standards.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the lifecycle of Quality Management System documents (creation, review, approval, distribution, review and obsolescence as needed) in accordance with IATF-16949 standards.
  • Ensure that current versions of documents are always published and available to users in the control system.
  • Review formatting and configuration of documents, collaborating with document owners to promote standardization.
  • Track documents for expiration and work with the document owners to ensure that updates are completed on time.
  • Provide support to process owners with the creation of new documents by facilitating meetings to assure that all affected departments are involved and making sure the documents are properly released in the system.
  • Support the internal and external audits process by providing required documentation for evidence.
  • Provide training in basic IATF16949 requirements and internal QMS control systems for all new employees, as well as periodical refreshers for current users.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Release monthly KPI reports and if required present them in the Management Review meetings

Position Requirements:

  • Fluent English language, enough to maintain conversations with English native speakers, and to communicate in a clear written form.
  • High School Diploma.  Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar position involving Document Control activities.
  • IATF-16949/ISO-9001 certification as Lead Auditor and AIAG Core Tools is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and attention to details.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI, Share Point).
  • Automotive industry experience, engineering or manufacturing related is a plus.
  • IATF16949 or ISO16949 knowledge is desired.
