HR Business Partner

Position Summary: |
This highly influential and critical position will oversee the day-to-day HR Operations and be the main HR contact employees in all personnel matters in our Manufacturing Plant. The role will be responsible for new hire orientation, onboarding, off-boarding, leave of absences, employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, and compensation for local site employees. The HRBP will be part of the leadership team, helping to align HR initiatives with business objectives and enhance overall employee engagement.

- Serve as point of contact for employee relations issues, providing guidance and resolution.
- Participation in the development, implementation and adaptation of a quantitative and qualitative personnel requirement and personnel cost planning
- Collaborate with leadership to understand organizational goals and translate them into HR initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, EEOC, MIOSHA, Environmental regulations, HIPAA and other federal and state laws and regulations
- Work with managers to address performance issues and implement improvement plans and corrective action as needed.
- Partner with and influence leadership by establishing credibility, trust, and rapport throughout the organization to be an effective listener and problem solver of business and people issues
- Support career development initiatives in collaboration with the leadership team to foster employee growth and retention within the organization.
- Lead annual performance review cycle with the leadership team.
- Serve as advisor and thought partner to the executive team on people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and workforce planning
- Collaboration in all possible personnel measures, such as recruitment, selection, hiring, internal transferring and dismissals. Responsibility for needed documentation for all measures.
- Administration of employee data in SAP in collaboration with payroll specialist
- Organization of the onboarding program and offboarding process
- Planning, arranging and documentation of trainings
- Partners with regional HR team on company-wide initiatives.
Education & Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty
- Bachelor's degree in human resources is preferred, bachelor's degree in related field is required, SPHR, SHRM-SCP is strongly desired.
- 3+ years' experience in human resources in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Strong knowledge of HR Best Practices, employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience using HCM systems; ADP, SAP SuccessFactors experience preferred.
- A strategic thinker who can balance the needs of employees with the day-to-day demands of the business.
- Demonstrated ability to drive change and build a performance culture.
- Demonstrated ability as an operational HR leader; able to identify needs and set and execute plans
- Ability to influence at varying levels across the organization.
- Sense of urgency and ability to prioritize.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Role is expected to be on-site 5 days a week.
