Responsibiliy of maintaining, supporting, and upgrading existing manufacturing processes, PLC programs, HMIs traceability systems and other manufacturing applications needed to keep the business running and improving efficiencies.
Responsibilities:

Review and verify existing drawings for reliability and manufacturability.

Design and improve applications; write code, run tests, build prototypes, and create technical documentation.

Install, update, and support applications, including writing/revising operation manuals.

Support equipment and workspace layout for maximum efficiency.

Design, install, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.

Apply continuous improvement (e.g., lean manufacturing) to enhance quality and reduce costs.

Identify cost-saving and product improvement opportunities using knowledge of fabrication, tooling, and assembly.

Estimate costs, timelines, and staffing for new designs.

Develop application architecture (UI, middleware, infrastructure).

Participate in new product/process planning and documentation (flowcharts, PFMEA, layouts, instructions).

Maintain and improve traceability systems and reporting interfaces.

Regularly update PFMEAs, process flows, and work instructions.

Monitor and improve underperforming production processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Manage and track engineering changes during mass production.

Analyze and resolve quality and engineering issues.

Research and implement new technologies and equipment.

Program PLC and HMI systems as required.

Specify and select appropriate control equipment.

Ensure compliance with company policies and quality, environmental, and safety standards.

Follow local quality system procedures and continuous improvement goals.

Perform all duties inherent to the role and as defined by engineering process maps.
