Manager, Logistics Process & Optimization

Job Objective
Supervise supply chain processes and ensure alignment across plants.
Responsible for materials planning, scheduling, procurement, and final delivery to the customer. Must ensure the availability of a minimum stock level of direct materials for production. Review the customer schedule in advance and carry out production planning/scheduling to achieve 100% delivery performance with customers.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for materials planning, scheduling, supplier contracting, and ensuring the availability of a minimum stock level for production at all times.
- Responsible for reviewing the customer schedule in advance and properly planning the necessary materials for production.
- Act as a liaison with the customer’s materials department, respond to inquiries in a timely manner, and achieve 100% delivery performance by coordinating internally with the production department.
- Evaluate the customer’s scheduling and coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly production planning to meet customer requirements.
- Periodically evaluate supplier performance and initiate continuous improvement actions.
- Conduct daily meetings with the production team to review/discuss/advise on changes in customer EDI deliveries and monitor FG inventory for shipment.
- Oversee key manufacturing processes for capacity and demand, identify constraints, and provide analysis.
- Maintain and review inventory records, product performance, and delivery performance.
- Track and report key functional metrics and take effective measures to reduce expenses and drive continuous improvement.
- Conduct physical inventories periodically according to company standards, investigate discrepancies, and initiate appropriate corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain the FIFO process.
- Create and process orders/contracts, delivery plans in MRP-SAP.
- Communicate schedules/releases/forecasts to suppliers well in advance.
- Manage customs clearance, coordinate with goods dispatch.
- Oversee and manage the availability of customer returnable pallet wood/internal packaging.
- Assist in managing cost savings in direct and indirect materials and cost avoidance targets.
- Research benchmarking of set targets and drive continuous improvements.
- Ensure timely updates of material receipts and production orders in SAP.
- Responsible for taking corrective actions on customer delivery issues and packaging problems.
- Responsible for achieving departmental/measurable objectives.
Job Profile
Education Level: Professional
Desired Specialty: Administration, Business, Logistics, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 7 years of experience with multinational suppliers.
Specific Knowledge: Bill of materials, production routes, and materials management.
Software Skills: SAP, Excel.
Languages: Excellent English (advanced conversational and technical).
