We are currently seeking a Program Manager for our Monterrey, Mexico Shared Services Center facility.This role is with our Integrated Safety Solutions (ISS) Group.

 

Summary:

Manage new model and current production programs to ensure objectives are delivered on time and with quality to the budget.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate, maintain, communicate, and present the launch and critical path schedules to the Joyson Safety Systems management team
  • Manage preparation, audit evidence, and present the project health at major launch milestone events throughout the project
  • Prepare project status reports to summarize project performance relative to baselines in areas of timing, cost, and risk
  • Act as the lead of a team of to ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple programs, projects, and customers
  • Construct, maintain, coordinate, and communicate multiple project plans to manage scope and adequately manage risk
  • Learn the Joyson Safety Systems engineering, procurement, production, and launch process in enough depth to ensure you can critically plan projects appropriately
  • Have the ability to learn assemblies, sequences, and associated constraints to accurately describe, manage, and resolve issues through tangible action plans
  • Develop, maintain, and improve usage of schedule tools to identify, analyze, and communicate project timing at all levels
  • Develop and manage a clearly articulated Open Issues list, chair project meetings, and drive issues to closure on time to a plan
  • Build customer relationships through regular meeting cadence to ensure the final product is delivered to expectations
  • In addition to new model launches, manage production applications with change management tools and techniques
  • Manage preparation of prototype and pre-production build events with a cross functional support team
  • Joyson Safety Systems is an evolving and highly dynamic organization, there will be continual process improvements in all areas of the company and you must be flexible to change

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is preferred but not required
  • 5+ years of Automotive Program Management is required
  • Must be comfortable working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Comfortable managing medium (300-900) line project plans in Microsoft Project or an equivalent timing application
  • PMP certification is a benefit but not a requirement

 

Preferred Skills

  • Experience performing timing analysis and related techniques to ensure critical path activities are managed appropriately
  • Basic financial acumen to develop, manage, and execute project budgets
  • Change management skill set to ensure running production changes are coordinated and executed with a result of limiting supply chain and customer risk
  • Basic understanding of global supply chain and the influences it can have on a project plan
  • Strong organizational, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work and communicate well with others in a team environment including customers and supplier partners
  • Must be diplomatically persuasive and professionally assertive when required to keep projects on time
  • Ability to work with limited supervision to manage a project team of 3-15 people developing, maintaining, and coordinating many areas of the Joyson Safety System organization
  • Highly skilled at taking large quantities of information and presenting it in a clear and concise manner
  • Must be willing to travel 5%-10% domestically and internationally for internal, customer, and project related visits
