Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Position Summary: |
Responsible for receiving, shipping and appropriate storage of incoming and outgoing parts and assemblies.
|
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: |
The duties and responsibilities outlined in the job description are to be used as a guideline and are not meant to be all-inclusive of the essential functions of the position. Other duties may be assigned, as necessary.
- Receiving goods, stocking, inventory.
- Complete all necessary domestic & international paperwork including shippers.
- Print and apply barcode labels to incoming materials ensuring the supplier batch information and part number matches the product.
- Load and unload trucks.
- Conduct
physical inventory counts, when required. - Keep kitchen stocked with coffee, etc.
- Arrangement shipments using UPS, Federal Express, DHL and other logistic sites as needed.
- Daily communication with team members.
- Arranges for incoming and outgoing mail service for facility, including express or federal express mail services.

• Read the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct of Joyson Safety Systems, understand the content and sign the Code of Conduct Certification form.
• Act in an ethical, honest, and professional manner by acting on behalf of the company and conducting business with integrity, even when making difficult decisions.
• Complete all the online and/or onsite training scheduled in your location related to ethics and compliance topics.
• Become familiar with Joyson Safety Systems ' Ethics and Compliance Policies.
• Report to your Supervisor, the Executive Committee, the Compliance Department, or any of the available resources any possible violation of the Laws, the Code of Conduct, or the Company's Policies.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent; college level course work preferred
• 1+ year of work-related experience.
• Ability to use a computer for basic tasks.
• Strong self-discipline and ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time throughout the day.
• Demonstrated teamwork approach with superiors, peers and subordinates utilizing skills in oral communication, active listening, written and oral directions and cooperating with and assisting others when needed.
• Fork Lift experience required.
• Experience in shipping and receiving HAZMAT material.
• Knowledge of ATF storage requirements a plus
